uBlox
Swiss manufacturer u-Blox is both a designer and developer of semiconductors and modular products which has grown into a specialist providing GNSS solutions. As a leading provider of positioning and wireless communication solutions and services, u-Blox announced at the start of 2022 it would begin collaborating with Universal Douglas Lighting Americas. The goal of this partnership would be to develop a new open standard Bluetooth Mesh platform based on the u-Blox NINA-b406 Bluetooth low energy module.

Together this SIGMesh platform will serve building automation use cases that include smart lighting, access control, and energy management that’s easy-to-use.  

Renesas
Tokyo-based Renesas Electronics Corp., is a leading provider of embedded semiconductor products with a primary focus in automotive, automation, energy management, smart healthcare appliances, and smart factory markets. Renesas offers several lighting solutions for several industries, such as its dimmable AC mains LED driver is used in automotive applications.

Renesas’ solid state lighting LEDs design and support AC or DC input, isolated or non-isolated flyback, and boost topologies. The IW3600 line are single stage 45W drivers by Renesas that contain its patented intelligent dimming control to provide compatibility with a wide range of dimmers. Another product is iW3627 which is Renesas’ digital constant-voltage offline PWM controller with power factor correction for applications up to 90W.
